Flash Flood Warning Issued for Millville, Laurel Lake and Port Norris, New Jersey

MILLVILLE, N.J. — A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Millville, Laurel Lake, Port Norris and surrounding communities in southern New Jersey until 8:30 a.m. EDT Sunday as heavy rain threatens the region.

The warning covers portions of Cumberland County, including Cedarville and Newport, with approximately 43,000 people within the warned area.

Flash Flood Threat

Heavy rainfall could quickly flood roads, low-lying areas, creeks and other locations vulnerable to rapidly rising water.

People in Millville, Laurel Lake, Port Norris and nearby communities should move to higher ground when necessary and never walk or drive through floodwater.
