Man arrested after shooting incident in Collingswood, New Jersey

COLLINGSWOOD, New Jersey — COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — A 59-year-old man was arrested following an investigation into a shooting incident at the Parkview Towers apartment complex.

Neil Nguyen, of Collingswood, was taken into custody on Aug. 12, 2026, after police responded to reports that one of the buildings had been struck by gunfire.

During the investigation, a Collingswood police officer observed a firearm through a first floor window, as well as Nguyen inside the apartment.

The Zone 5 Critical Incident Team was activated, alongside crisis negotiators and mental health personnel, due to a potential threat to the public and responding officers.
