Video: Curfew Imposed in Narathiwat After Explosions and Arson Attacks Across Southern Thailand

NARATHIWAT, Thailand — Authorities imposed a curfew in Narathiwat until 6 a.m. Sunday after a coordinated wave of explosions, arson attacks, tire burnings and other incidents struck multiple locations across Narathiwat, Yala and Pattani provinces Saturday night.
The incidents began at around 8 p.m. local time, with security forces deployed across Thailand’s three southern border provinces.
Explosions and Fires Across Three Provinces
In Narathiwat, explosions were reported in several districts, while tires were burned and government property was targeted. An explosion was also reported near a telecommunications tower.
In Yala, government vehicles and property were set on fire, a telecommunications tower was targeted, tires were burned at several locations and nails were scattered on a road.
In Pattani, armed attackers reportedly fired shots, left a suspicious object near the Bang Pu intersection and robbed a 7-Eleven store before tires were set on fire along Highway 42. (isranews.org)
