One man dead, one injured after Friday morning shooting in Little Rock, Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — A man was killed and another man was injured in a shooting early Friday morning in Little Rock, police said.

Around 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at 6420 S.

University Ave. and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, a social media post from the Little Rock Police Department said.

Both men were taken to local hospitals, and one man died from his injuries a short time later, the post said.

Shooting investigation

The identities of the men were not revealed in the post. Officers secured the area and notified homicide detectives, the post said. The investigation is ongoing.
