Two found dead inside southeast Fresno, California home after reported shooting

Two people were found dead inside a southeast Fresno home Thursday afternoon after police responded to a report of a shooting. Fresno Police Lt. James Rossetti said officers from the department’s Southeast District received the call around 4:19 p.m. When officers arrived, they entered the home and found two people inside.

Officers immediately attempted life saving measures, but both were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released the victims’ names. Rossetti said investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

Rossetti said he was not aware of any recent violent activity in the neighborhood, describing it as a very nice neighborhood. The area is expected to remain blocked off for some time as detectives process the scene.
