BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have arrested a man for stabbing a stranger during a recent slew of violent activity in downtown Burlington. Burlington Police took Jason Anderson, 50, into custody on Thursday for the stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning, Aug. 15. The incident took place at St.
Paul and Bank streets where officers were able to determine that the victim and his friends were engaged in a conflict with the suspect. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening knife wound to the back required 17 stitches. Anderson had recently been released from prison and is on probation.
He is considered to be homeless.
