Storm Details

The public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. The rain has begun to let up across the area

Potential Impact

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. East Peoria, Morton, Washington, Goodfield and Deer Creek. This includes the following highways. Interstate 74 between mile markers 101 and 111. Interstate 155 between mile markers 30 and 31. Multiple streets in and around the Morton area are flooded. Bull Run Creek is swollen and continues to rise, but has not reached homes yet
