TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Lucas County Coroner’s Office identified the 46-year-old male employee killed in the explosion and fire at Brent Industries Tuesday morning as Heladio Garcia Perez. The woman who was killed was identified as 64-year-old Mary Allen. The coroner’s office says both died of blunt force trauma.

Toledo fire crews have been monitoring the smoldering site of Brent Industries since around 5 a.m. Tuesday. “We are still flooring water on the debris,” Toledo Fire spokesperson Private Sheldon Collins said.

“We want to make sure that the fire does not reignite, and we want to make sure that it’s completely out before our investigators are able to go in and to investigate further.”
