What Happened

A Michigan Lottery player won $6.79 million in the Saturday, Aug. 15, Lotto 47 drawing. A ticket purchased in Kingsley, about 15 miles southeast of Traverse City, matched all six numbers drawn – 4, 16, 28, 30, 36 and 37– to win the jackpot, according to the Michigan Lottery. The ticket was sold at Northland Food Center, 2377 E. M-113. It marks the fifth time the game's jackpot has been won this year.
