Virginia State University Shooting Update: 5 People Shot, One Victim in Critical Condition

Authorities have confirmed that five people were shot at Virginia State University in Ettrick, Virginia, in a new update on the campus shooting involving multiple suspects.

Police said officers found five people suffering from gunshot wounds outside campus dormitories near the university’s Quad Annexes.

One Victim in Critical Condition

All five victims were transported to hospitals. One victim who was initially reported with life-threatening injuries has since been listed in critical condition, while the other four suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Virginia State University said the shooting involved multiple suspects, and authorities continue to investigate.

A large law enforcement presence remains in the area, with federal and local agencies assisting the investigation.
