Musa Ahmed, 7, among three relatives killed in Mersea Beach tragedy

Seven-year-old Musa Ahmed died six days after getting into difficulty in the water during a family holiday at West Mersea in Essex.
His cousin Sameeha Rahman, 15, and her mother Shelina Rahman, 41, also died following the July 22 incident near Seaview Avenue.
Musa, from Romford, was brought ashore and stabilised before being flown to the Royal London Hospital. He died on July 28 after suffering a hypoxic-ischaemic brain injury.
An inquest at Chelmsford County Hall heard that drowning was provisionally recorded as the cause of death for all three family members.
Sameeha and Shelina were both from Ilford in east London. Essex Police said officers were alerted at approximately 5:35 p.m. after several people were reported to be in difficulty in the water.
The inquest into the West Mersea deaths has been adjourned until January 19, 2027.
