Tornado Warning issued for Niagara Falls, Lewiston and Youngstown, New York

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for parts of Niagara County, including Niagara Falls, Lewiston, and Youngstown, until 1:15 p.m. EDT.

The warning is based on radar-indicated rotation, with pea-sized hail also possible.

The warned area includes an estimated:

• Schools: 29
• Hospitals: 2

Residents are urged to take shelter immediately by moving to the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows. If you are outdoors or in a vehicle, seek substantial shelter as quickly as possible and continue monitoring updates from local authorities.
