Video: Strong 6.7-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Near Taipei, Taiwan

A strong earthquake measuring magnitude 6.7 struck 73 kilometers southeast of Taipei, Taiwan, according to preliminary seismic data.
The quake occurred at approximately 11:05 p.m. local time, and was felt strongly across Taipei, where residents reported buildings shaking for nearly a minute.
“I just felt a big earthquake here in Taipei. The building was shaking for almost a minute,” one eyewitness said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage, but authorities are monitoring the situation closely. Aftershocks may be possible as assessments continue.
