Mass Shooting on Edgewood Avenue in Atlanta Leaves One Dead, 10 Injured

ATLANTA, Ga. – A deadly mass shooting on Edgewood Avenue in southeast Atlanta early Monday left one man dead and ten others injured, according to Atlanta police.

Authorities responded to the scene outside 349 Edgewood Ave. SE, near the Sweet Auburn neighborhood, just before 1:30 a.m. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots near a stretch of popular bars, including Our Bar ATL, located nearby at 339 Edgewood Ave SE.

Police confirmed that 11 people were shot, with the victims ranging in age from 18 to 29. Tragically, a 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

The other ten victims were transported to Grady Hospital, where they are currently in stable condition. One of the victims was reported to be undergoing surgery at the time of the update.

Law enforcement believes the shooting was carried out by suspects on foot, but no further details about the assailants have been provided. Investigators remain on the scene and are reviewing evidence and witness statements.

The incident has sparked renewed concern over nightlife safety in the city, especially in entertainment-heavy districts such as Edgewood Avenue.
