LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Four days after the body of a young boy was discovered near a dumpster in Panorama City, authorities have arrested a suspect on suspicion of murder, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department. A second suspect was also taken into custody, though on unrelated charges.

The arrest follows a somber community vigil held Tuesday night where mourners gathered at a memorial filled with candles, balloons, and flowers near the site where the boy was found.

Meanwhile, police executed a search warrant at a nearby apartment complex on Lanark Street, just half a mile from the crime scene. Video footage showed multiple individuals being detained, including a man in a wheelchair and a woman. A large crowd gathered outside the apartment, expressing their anger as an LAPD vehicle departed with lights and sirens activated.

Details regarding the investigation and the charges remain limited as authorities continue to probe the case.
