Video Small Plane Crashes in Pembroke Pines, Four Hospitalized Including Teen with Serious Injuries

A small plane crashed Sunday night in a Pembroke Pines suburban neighborhood, sending four people — two adults and two teenagers — to the hospital. Flight records reveal the Cessna T337G had been in the air for nearly four hours, originating from the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean, and was preparing to land at North Perry Airport.

At approximately 8:10 p.m., the aircraft struck a tree while approaching the airport, causing it to fall onto a front yard. Debris was scattered among tree limbs, according to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which is currently investigating the incident. The cause of the crash remains unknown.

The crash site was near the intersection of Southwest 14th Street and 68th Boulevard, roughly one mile east of the airport, authorities said. Neighbors rushed to assist by using garden hoses to extinguish flames that broke out following the crash.

Among those hospitalized, one teenager suffered serious injuries. Emergency crews responded promptly to the scene.

Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
