Gujarat shocker: 14-year-old boy rapes, impregnates 16-year-old sister in Surat

SURAT: A 16-year-old girl in Surat was found to be pregnant, and her 14-year-old brother has been named in the case following a police complaint. The matter came to light after the girl complained of abdominal pain, prompting her parents to seek medical attention. 
Doctors informed the family of the pregnancy after which they approached the police. An FIR has been filed, and legal proceedings have been initiated.According to officials, the incident took place around two months ago when the parents were away for some work and the siblings were alone at home. Both children are currently studying in school.In this case, the police have booked the boy under sections 64(2) and 75(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, including sections 3(a), 4, 5(j)(2), 5(n), 6, 8, and 12. 
One of the invoked sections relates specifically to cases where assault results in the victim becoming physically incapacitated.Sources confirmed that the girl is approximately one-and-a-half months pregnant. Police are currently providing counselling and psychological support to the family, which is extremely traumatised. The boy will be detained and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board as per protocol.Officials added that DNA sampling and further steps will be taken in accordance with legal and medical guidelines, including procedures related to pregnancy termination.(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
