Search Resumes for Missing After Medical Transport Helicopter Crash Near Natashquan, Quebec

A search operation has resumed for four individuals reported missing after a medical transport helicopter crashed near Natashquan on Quebec’s North Shore. The Airmedic helicopter went down around 10:30 p.m. on Friday during a medical evacuation mission.

The crash occurred shortly after takeoff when the helicopter collided with a lake, with five people aboard. One crew member has been rescued and is reported to be in stable condition.

Airmedic has temporarily suspended its operations to provide support to its employees, while police and search-and-rescue teams continue extensive efforts by air, land, and water to locate the missing persons.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the incident.
