Manhunt Underway After Deadly Double Shooting in Bushwick, Brooklyn

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (WABC) — A manhunt is underway for a killer in Brooklyn after two men were shot and one was killed.

The shooting happened on Putnam Avenue near Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick just after 10 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived they found a 39-year-old man who was shot in the abdomen and a 63-year-old man shot in his right eye.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, but the 39-year-old died. He’s been identified as Ramel Fisher.

The man who was shot in the eye is currently stable.

“We saw the body but we didn’t know if it was dead or not so they carried him to the ambulance car,” said neighbor Renat Khairullin, who was home at the time of the shooting.

Fisher was gunned down on Putnam Avenue, which is diagonally across the street from the home he grew up in.
