Woman who allegedly spit on acting U.S. Attorney Ed Martin arrested for assult

Emily Gabriella Sommer has been arrested on a federal assault charge for allegedly spitting on then-acting U.S. Attorney Ed Martin.

Sommer allegedly claimed responsibility for the incident in several X comments to Martin.

She faces charges of assault and resisting or impeding a government official.

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro is on the signature block for a court filing in Sommer’s case.
