Toddler fighting for life after falling from top storey window as four arrested

A toddler has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a block of flats.

The three-year-old boy is reported to have plunged from the top storey of the property near Hoglands Park, Southampton. Hampshire Police today said officers had arrested four people on suspicion of child neglect – two women aged 26 and 45 and two men, 29 and 45.

A force spokeperson said: “We were called at 6.35pm on Wednesday 4 September to a report of the concern for the welfare of a three-year-old child at an address on South Front in Southampton. It was reported that the boy had fallen from a window. He has been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition. Police attended and remain at the location at the current time carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the incident.”
