Currently, law enforcement in St. St. Petersburg, Florida, are conducting a manhunt for possibly two arson suspects who defaced the downtown Pride mural twice in less than one week by leaving tire marks from doing donuts on the mural.
This caused significant damage to the streetscape painting and has caused an uproar in the LGBTQIA+ community. The crime has left some community members worried as Pride Month quickly approaches. Several businesses near the mural have repositioned their cameras to monitor the street and mural in case of further incidents.
