Washington, D.C. Police Department and American University Police are investigating a report of a dangerous subject at the American University campus Saturday. According to the Police, students have been urged to hide inside in a secured location, lock all doors and avoid the windows following a report of an armed individual on or near the university campus on 4400 Massachusetts Ave NW. “Dangerous subject on or near American University campus in Washington D.C.,” a message to the students read.
“If outside, leave campus immediately. If inside, hide in a secure location, lock doors, and avoid windows” American University is on lockdown due to a “dangerous subject on or near campus.” According to reports, a mandatory lockdown has been imposed for the university campus following the suspect shooter. No shooting has been confirmed by the investigators.
