Woman’s body found in boot of car in Evans Head, NSW

Investigations are underway in northern NSW after a woman’s body was found in the boot of a car.

Emergency services were called to a unit on Park Street in Evans Head after welfare concerns were reported.

Officers arrived to find the body of a woman in her 60s in the boot of a car.

Police sources say the woman had suffered fatal stab wounds.

A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to the Ballina police station.
