The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department says one person has been shot at Truman Medical Center.
A police spokesperson said the incident happened Friday morning.
One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting.
Police said while the incident was dispatched as an active shooter situation, there is no longer an active threat in connection with this incident, and a person of interest is in custody.
Police vehicles could be seen at the entrance to the Emergency Department Friday morning, with most of the visible activity in the hospital parking garage.
