Houston man killed in road rage shooting worked two jobs to support disabled dad and younger sisters

HOUSTON — While the Harris County Sheriff’s Office tries to track down the gunman involved in a deadly road rage incident last month, the victim’s family is left broken-hearted and wondering how they’ll survive financially.

Angel Muñiz-Acosta, 21, was rushed to a hospital after he was shot on Nov. 19 after leaving a taco truck in the Cloverleaf area. He later died from his injuries.

“It’s really hard,” Muñiz’s father told us. “He just takes his life for no reason.”

The victim’s family said he worked two jobs to support his disabled father and younger sisters.

“He never complained. He never said no to anybody. He was always helping people,” the father said.

Muñiz was a mechanic who was planning to open his own shop.

“He had the tools. He had everything he needed,” the father told us. “We just started looking for the place where he was gonna open his place. This cold-blooded killer, he just cut his dreams.”

The man asked not to be identified because the killer is still out there, but he’s praying for justice.
