Five dead in wedding massacre as ‘drunk’ groom shoots his wife, mother-in-law and guests then kills himself after arguing during the ceremony in Thailand

Five have been left a dead in a wedding massacre in Thailand after an ‘intoxicated’ groom shot his wife, mother-in-law and guests and then killed himself.

The incident took place at around 11.25pm at a house in Wang Nam Khieo district in north-east Thailand, where a wedding party was being held for Chaturong Suksuk, 29 and Kanchana Pachunthuek, 44.

During the wedding party, the guests and relatives noticed that Chaturong, a former soldier and Paralympic athlete, looked displeased, the Bangkok Post reports.

The couple had an argument during the party, according to Thai media. Chaturong went out to his car and returned with a pistol, firing shots that killed the bride, her 62-year-old mother, Kingthong Klajorho, and her 38-year-old sister, Kornika Manator.

Stray bullets hit two of the guests, who were rushed to the district hospital and one of them died, according to Thai media.
