According to Flood, Greenville County Communications received a call around 1:40 p.m. to Alco Street in Greenville regarding a person who was trying to break into their house.
Flood said when deputies arrived on the scene, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound inside. According to Flood, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
