One injured in shooting outside southeast Calgary restaurant

Officers were called to the Earls Kitchen and Bar on 130 Avenue and 51 Street S.E. in McKenzie Towne around 4:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting. They say they found a 23-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated for minor injuries in hospital.

Officers remained on scene through much of Saturday evening, with police tape blocking much of the parking lot in front of Earls. The restaurant closed for the night following the shooting.

Police continue to investigate the incident, interviewing witnesses and looking for security camera footage, and believe it to be a targeted shooting.
