UPDATE: Police say the man died after he climbed a fence at the school with a sledgehammer and was confronted by adults as he tried to enter the campus
A death investigation is underway after a body was found at an elementary school campus in Long Beach.
Details are limited, but a large law enforcement presence was spotted Tuesday evening at McKinley Elementary School on Paramount Boulevard and 68th Street.
AIR7 HD was above the scene and captured a portion of a parking lot blocked off with several evidence markers lined up along a nearby fence.
