Update: The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the man killed Monday morning in a crash on I-135 as Jason W. Sutcliffe, 44, of Valley Center.
The KHP said around 12:30 a.m., Sutcliffe’s 2020 Jeep Wrangler was northbound on I-135 in the left lane when it left the road for an unknown reason. The jeep struck a KDOT construction sign and guardrail before rolling and coming to rest on its right side.
Sutcliffe was the only person in the vehicle. According to the KHP’s online crash log, he was not wearing a safety restraint.
