Chimney fire starts blaze that destroys large barn in Sherwood

Flames tore through the roof of the large metal-clad pole barn and thick black smoke billowed out of several openings of the barn. The firefighting effort was further complicated because there were no nearby fire hydrants, forcing firefighters to truck in all the water they used to fight the fire.

Ammunition exploding inside the barn and a large propane tank near the building also made things dangerous for crews, TVF&R said.
