Kotek to ask emergency board for $10M to support Bend after shooting

Gov. Tina Kotek will request $10 million in emergency funds to support Bend following the Oct. 15 shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School. Lawmakers will next meet the first week of December for committee meetings ahead of the six month legislative session that begins in January.

Kotek told reporters Nov. 6 she would ask the legislature's emergency board to approve the request.
