Man wanted on warrant arrested after chase, crash in Jackson County, Florida

A man with an active warrant led deputies on a chase toward Highway 231 and Pike Pond Road, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies attempted to deploy spike strips, but Taff tried to avoid them and crashed into a tree line, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies said William Taff was wanted for a probation violation related to a grand theft charge.
