Nearly 95,000 chickens euthanized after Oregon bird flu outbreak

Bird flu was confirmed in a Clackamas County commercial flock, according to a Nov. 4 news release from the Oregon Department of Agriculture. The new detection comes as the West Coast is seeing an uptick in avian influenza cases in both birds and dairy herds.

The USDA indicated 94,200 birds at an egg layer operation were euthanized.
