Cher’s Son Elijah Blue Allman Appointed Public Defender in New Hampshire

A New Hampshire judge has appointed a public defender for Elijah Blue Allman, Cher’s son, in a criminal mischief case, according to court documents reported by WMUR.

Allman is being held at New Hampshire Hospital while undergoing a competency evaluation. He was arrested March 1 after investigators alleged he broke into a home in Windham.

Separate legal proceedings concern his finances and guardianship. Legal analyst Patricia LaFrance told WMUR that Allman may lack access to his finances and that eligibility for appointed counsel depends on his own funds, rather than his family’s wealth.

Allman also faces charges following an earlier incident at a Concord school.
