Police say victim suffered life-threatening injuries in downtown Columbia shooting, two suspects in custody

Columbia Police said the victim in Saturday morning's shooting in downtown Columbia suffered life-threatening injuries and is now in stable condition. She was given medical assistance at the scene of the shooting, near Eighth Street and Walnut Street, before being taken to a local hospital, police said.

The victim is a 36-year-old woman, according to a Saturday night news release from the Columbia Police Department.
