Court rules in favor of potential quarry property owners

The Butts County Superior Court has ruled in favor of the property owners in the ongoing battle over a potential rock quarry in Butts County. The property, currently zoned agricultural-residential (AR), must be rezoned to heavy industrial (M3) before a quarry can be developed.

The property owners want to operate a rock quarry on 462 acres near Fincherville Road, Jack Maddox Bridge Road and Keys Ferry Road.
