No injuries in North Lafayette house fire, officials say

Emergency officials say no one was hurt after a fire damaged a North Lafayette home Friday (Oct. A relative of the elderly homeowner heard the smoke alarm activating and noticed flames through a window, the Lafayette Fire Department said.

Around 5:15 p.m., firefighters learned of a kitchen fire at a home on Mims Street.
