RNLI Lifeboat Tracked in English Channel Amid Unconfirmed Migrant Boat Rescue Reports

An RNLI lifeboat has been tracked underway in the English Channel amid unconfirmed reports of an operation involving a small boat carrying migrants.

Public vessel-tracking data showed lifeboat 13-02 moving at sea. The data does not establish why it was deployed or confirm that a rescue took place.

Online accounts claimed that a vessel identified as BSC Ranger and a French vessel were also present. Claims of repeated operations and any transfer of passengers remain unverified.

UKNIP said it had not received confirmation from HM Coastguard, the RNLI or the Home Office about the reported rescue or the number of people involved.
