NCSO: Mountain fire station break-in suspect claimed to be escaping blizzard

The mountain fire chief called a deputy around 5:41 a.m. The suspect reportedly claimed he’d been doing a DoorDash delivery of Subway and slid off the road.

I don’t want to be stuck in a blizzard, I figured the department was the best thing,” according to the affidavit.
