Study estimates Vanderbilt University’s Tennessee economic impact at $7 billion

Regional Economic Consulting Group prepared the study, which examines the economic contributions of Tennessee’s private colleges and universities. The association, known as TICUA, represents 34 private, nonprofit colleges and universities in Tennessee.

It includes university operations, capital spending, student spending and economic activity generated by alumni. It also attributes $2.3 billion to the earnings differential of Vanderbilt alumni in Tennessee.
