Ohio bill aims to protect police officers’ private information from being posted online
A new bill introduced in the Ohio Statehouse aims to protect peace officers and their families from having their personal information published online. Violators would face a third-degree felony, punishable by up to a $10,000 fine, probation, or prison time.
“They were found they had not done anything wrong, but then that information goes viral,” Manning said.
