Child with measles treated at Vanderbilt children’s hospital will not appear in Tennessee data

A child with measles was treated at Vanderbilt’s Monroe Carell Jr. Doctors at the hospital saw the child sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.

The child was the second confirmed measles case Nashville has seen this year. The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed Thursday that the child was not a Tennessee resident.
