Hillsborough County sheriff’s office arrests 30 registered sex offenders in pre-Halloween checks

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested 30 registered sex offenders during compliance checks conducted ahead of Halloween. The agency worked with the Florida Department of Corrections and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Detectives checked on 1,202 registered sex offenders living in unincorporated Hillsborough County during Operation Scarecrow, according to the sheriff’s office.
