Court upholds dismissal of former Eastchester police officer’s discrimination suit

A federal appeals court has upheld the decision to dismiss a discrimination lawsuit filed by a former Eastchester police officer. The town maintained that his firing was a result of insubordination and incompetence.

Anthony Barberan’s suit alleged that he was terminated because he is Hispanic and accused the department harassing him for years.
