San Diego, California, Islamic Center Lockdown Lifted After Police Search for Possibly Armed Woman

Police lifted a lockdown at the Islamic Center of San Diego after determining that a possibly armed woman who visited the mosque had left San Diego County, according to local reporting.

The woman spoke with a security guard and departed before officers arrived. Police told KFMB she had made no direct threat against the mosque.

Officers attended the center as a precaution, and its school was placed on lockdown.
