Life sentence for man convicted in 2024 downtown Orlando Halloween mass shooting

Jaylen Edgar was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday for the Halloween 2024 mass shooting in downtown Orlando that killed two people and left seven injured. 25-year-old Tyrek Hill and 19-year-old Timothy Schmidt died.

Edgar, who was 17 at the time, opened fire near two different intersections among a crowd of thousands that had gathered to celebrate Halloween.
