M3.3 earthquake strikes near Taupo

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake was recorded near Taupo at 2026-10-28 09:53 NZDT, according to European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The earthquake was measured at a depth of about 208.4 km. The epicenter was approximately 23 km from Taupo.
