CT man driving over 85 mph convicted on DUI, manslaughter charges in fatal crash in 2022

A man who investigators say was going 86 mph just before a fatal crash in New Haven in 2022 has been convicted on DUI and manslaughter charges. According to the DCJ, the event data recorder in Duarte’s vehicle showed that he was driving 86 mph just seconds before the crash.

Sanchez-Martinez was killed in the crash.
